Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Implementation:

• Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive WASH project plans, strategies, and budgets.
• Ensure the timely and efficient implementation of WASH projects, adhering to project timelines, goals, and objectives.
• Oversee the construction or rehabilitation of water supply systems, sanitation facilities, and hygiene infrastructure.

2. Community Engagement and Capacity Building:

• Facilitate community consultations to understand their needs, preferences, and cultural considerations related to WASH initiatives.
• Conduct awareness sessions and workshops to promote proper hygiene practices, safe water handling, and sustainable sanitation solutions.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Liaise and coordinate with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community leaders to foster partnerships and collaborations.
• Represent CESDO in relevant forums, meetings, and workshops related to WASH initiatives.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with stakeholders, promoting a participatory and inclusive approach.

5. Research and Innovation:

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, best practices, and technological advancements in the WASH sector.
• Contribute to research studies, pilot projects, and innovative approaches to improve WASH interventions.
• Collaborate with academic institutions and research organizations to promote knowledge sharing and learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Health, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in implementing water, sanitation, and hygiene projects in developing contexts.
• Strong understanding of WASH principles, standards, and best practices.
• Knowledge of community mobilization techniques, behavior change methodologies, and participatory approaches.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting using relevant software and tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in challenging field conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular monitoring visits to CESDO's program sites to ensure compliance with project plans and objectives.

• Prepare and submit monitoring reports to the Program Manager on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree/Diploma in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Community Development.
• At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs, preferably with an NGO.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English and Somali language.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CCCM Project Manager to lead our camp coordination and camp management (CCCM) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing CCCM activities in a variety of contexts, including refugee camps, IDP camps, and other displacement settings. The CCCM Project Manager will work closely with a team of project staff, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the program.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the implementation of CCCM activities in accordance with project plans, timelines, and budget
• Develop and maintain relationships with project partners, stakeholders, and other key actors in the humanitarian community
• Provide technical support and guidance to project staff on CCCM-related issues
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and project reporting standards
• Monitor and evaluate project activities, and make recommendations for improvements as necessary
• Support capacity-building activities for project staff and partners
• Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles and standards in all project activities
• Contribute to the development of CCCM-related policies and guidelines
• Represent the organization in CCCM-related meetings and forums

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. international relations, humanitarian studies, social sciences)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CCCM programming in humanitarian contexts
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including budget management and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
• Fluent in English, with additional language skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
