Job Description: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Manager

CESDO (Community Empowerment and Social Development Organization) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Manager. As a WASH Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and monitoring water, sanitation, and hygiene projects aimed at improving the well-being and quality of life for communities in need. Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Implementation:
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive WASH project plans, strategies, and budgets.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient implementation of WASH projects, adhering to project timelines, goals, and objectives.
  • Oversee the construction or rehabilitation of water supply systems, sanitation facilities, and hygiene infrastructure.
  1. Community Engagement and Capacity Building:
  • Facilitate community consultations to understand their needs, preferences, and cultural considerations related to WASH initiatives.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and workshops to promote proper hygiene practices, safe water handling, and sustainable sanitation solutions.
  • Empower communities through capacity building activities, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to maintain and manage WASH facilities.
  1. Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, outcomes, and impact.
  • Conduct regular site visits and assessments to ensure the quality, functionality, and sustainability of WASH interventions.
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for program improvement.
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Liaise and coordinate with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community leaders to foster partnerships and collaborations.
  • Represent CESDO in relevant forums, meetings, and workshops related to WASH initiatives.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with stakeholders, promoting a participatory and inclusive approach.
  1. Research and Innovation:
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, best practices, and technological advancements in the WASH sector.
  • Contribute to research studies, pilot projects, and innovative approaches to improve WASH interventions.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions and research organizations to promote knowledge sharing and learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Health, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in implementing water, sanitation, and hygiene projects in developing contexts.
  • Strong understanding of WASH principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of community mobilization techniques, behavior change methodologies, and participatory approaches.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting using relevant software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in challenging field conditions.

Job Description: CESDO is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the position of Field Monitor. The Field Monitor will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of CESDO's programs and projects in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to CESDO's program sites to ensure compliance with project plans and objectives.
  • Collect and analyze data on project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit monitoring reports to the Program Manager on a regular basis.
  • Identify and report any challenges encountered during field monitoring and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure that project activities are implemented in compliance with CESDO's policies and procedures, as well as donor requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree/Diploma in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Community Development.
  • At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs, preferably with an NGO.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English and Somali language.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CCCM Project Manager to lead our camp coordination and camp management (CCCM) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing CCCM activities in a variety of contexts, including refugee camps, IDP camps, and other displacement settings. The CCCM Project Manager will work closely with a team of project staff, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the implementation of CCCM activities in accordance with project plans, timelines, and budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project partners, stakeholders, and other key actors in the humanitarian community
